Jeff  Scholz, the current Farr 40 Chesapeake Fleet Captain and Larry Bulman have  owned have owned a series of Yellow Jackets over the past 40 years.  Every handicap class imaginable, IOR/IMS/MHS/PHRF/IRC  and now have re-discovered one-design racing in the Farr 40 class.  Initially they purchased the Farr 40 for  racing in PHRF and IRC. They were the first Farr 40 to go to masthead spinnakers  in 2006 while racing in IRC.  Once  interest developed in a local Farr 40 fleet, Yellow Jacket was fully converted  back to One-Design configuration and never looked back.  The claims from Larry & Jeff: “This is the most fun we have had racing in any class!”
